23d9812273 loader-initialized global plugin API: 
struct plugin_api *rb is declared in PLUGIN_HEADER, and pointed to by
__header.api

the loader uses this pointer to initialize rb before calling entry_point

entry_point is no longer passed a pointer to the plugin API

all plugins, and pluginlib functions, are modified to refer to the
global rb

pluginlib functions which only served to copy the API pointer are
removed

2fbf09752d remove align_buffer from firmare/general.c, replacing with ALIGN_BUFFER macro, and replace all uses of it (only resize.c in core, and pictureflow and mpegplayer plugins), remove it from plugin_api, 
and remove wrapper for it from plugin.h

07e982df8a cleanup for core-file-in-pluginlib compilation: 
wrapper C files in pluginlib renamed to the same name as the core files they
wrap

pluginlib-only init functions for resize and bmp moved into the wrapper files,
and declared in the associated header files

API() macro removed entirely, in favor of a core-only header file that
redefines core function names to use a plugin_api pointer

some unnecessary uses of PLUGIN in apps/recorder/bmp.c removed

e385ee18ce Decouple the statusbar drawing from the rest of the screen drawing. it is not drawn roughly 4x per second automatically. 
viewport_Set_defaults() will setup the given viewport with the correct "full screen" dimensions (so start at 0,0 if statusbars are disabled or 0,8 if they are enabled.)
All screens should keep the statusbar enabled, but if you really want to ignore the user setting you can disbaled it with viewportmanager_set_statusbar(false).

This commit also includes some menu/list viewport cleanups from kugel in FS#9603

c6b3d38a15 New makefile solution: A single invocation of 'make' to build the entire tree. Fully controlled dependencies give faster and more correct recompiles. 
Many #include lines adjusted to conform to the new standards.

d462a64a91 Initial commit of iaudio 7 port by Vitja Makarov (FS#9245). Port is at quite an advanced stage, but is troubled by the lack of a reliable NAND driver (similar to the Cowon D2 port) and is not yet suitable for non-developers.

01729e7a18 FS#9281 Rename of splash functions. 
* Remove gui_splash()
* Rename gui_syncsplash() to splashf() and remove its voice 
capabilities.
* Rename the internal splash() to splash_internal() and introduce an 
externally visible splash() that handles simple splashing  without 
printf functionality e.g. splash(HZ, ID2P(LANG_FOO)); or splash(HZ, 
"foo"); if a LANG_* id is passed it will be voiced.
* Adjust all places that called gui_syncsplash() to use the correct 
variant from above.
* Export both new functions to plugins and adjust places calling 
rb->splash() to use the correct variant so that we now have naming 
consistency between the core and plugins.
* Fix one latent bug that would cause my sim to crash with the above 
changes and correct P2STR and P2ID macros, thanks to pondlife.

34d4165f7b New md5sum plugin. Open a file, a directory or just launch it from the plugin menu to create an md5sum of the file, the directory's contents or the whole filesystem. If the file's extension is .md5 or .md5sum, it will check the md5 sums in the file instead. If the file's extension is .md5list it will compute md5 sums for all the files listed.

4a6190dd13 Hopefully fix FS #8840 for iAudio M3, M5 and X5. Reduce greyscale update frequency on M3 in order to reduce CPU load (was >50% before, but this fix would have made it even worse).

b4275d4941 Philips GoGear SA9200 port. Working bootloader and normal builds, including sound. No touchpad now, buttons limited to using vol+/vol-/power for up/down/select. Rockbox USB is enabled since the OF is MTP only...read the warnings on the PortalPlayerUsb wiki page.

1f2df74079 MPEGPlayer quickie: add an option to set the backlight brightness to a plugin-specified value when playing video or interacting. Nice when one likes a dim backlight normally but that isn't sufficient when viewing video for instance. Suggested in FS#8417 in addition to my own desire for this.

33b785e40b allow the plugin playback control menu to be put in a viewport. 
fix text editor so it is actually possible to get to the control menu if the file hasnt been changed (its in the regular menu now)

6aa36c66a3 Commit FS#8308 (Port of imlib2 based smooth scaling) by Jonas Hurrelmann. It could be made smaller by taking out some special cases, but I'm leaving them in for now because size isn't really a concern until we decide to move it into the core (if we ever do). test_resize now allows to choose between both resize methods for comparison. sliding_puzzle is made to use the smooth scaling.

8f560bc2b5 Greyscale library: Always use reconstructing inversion, because it's legal to use unbuffered drawing functions in buffered mode, meaning that the chunky buffer might not be in sync with what's displayed. Mpegplayer does this.

32bd0f8ab1 Greyscale library: Optionally put the greyscale ISR on COP on portalplayertargets (only use with the grey_info structure in IRAM atm\!). This speeds up doom by ~50%, and makes mpegplayer work without stuttering audio on targets using it (measured on iPod 2nd Gen and Mini 2nd Gen). It needs corelocking certain functions in the LCD driver on 1st/2nd Gen.
