5c87a98b97 Greyscale library: * Implement linearisation curve flipping for 1st/2nd Gen iPods (LCD is inverted when backlight is on, so the curve is also inverted). This needs a slight extension of is_backlight_on() functionality in the core. * Thorough recalibration of all reachable greyscale targets, and #ifdef cleanup. * Reduce on-target gamma a bit, because the displayable contrast range of a monochrome/greyscale isn't that high.

bb40e6ed15 Fix a possible (though unlikely) deadlock condition spotted by jhMikeS. It would involve both the buffering and the audio thread sending synchronous messages to one another.

03b54c29d7 Fix for FS#8601 by pondlife: the disk no longer spins up on a track change when dircache is disabled. This issue was introduced by me in r16019 by adding a call to playlist_peek() in audio_check_new_track(). This fix adds a new playlist API call to work around the problem until we find a better solution. There are also a few simplifications and comment corrections.

19868938d4 WPS parser: also revert to the default WPS when there were bitmap loading errors. The reverting is moved from wps_parse() to wps_data_load().

241fd0fbdb Fixes FS #8389 (wv error). For WavPack files that don't have the length stored in the header, guess a length on the 
high-side as an interim fix. This plays fine (even gapless), but the progress bar is off and seeking is a little 
weird (but usable).

21870cfd9b Fixes FS#8651 (noise and/or crash while crossfading). Latest ARM-asm submit for dsp showed we had a possible alignment issue with pcm-buffer when using crossfade.

732df386af Boost the audio thread while it's filling the buffer. In the audio and the buffering threads, only cancel cpu boost when not filling.

78d29f535f Major cleanup of checkwps - fix all warnings and add a script to build versions for all supported targets (plus some unsupported ones). You now need to run the version of checkwps that matches the device your WPS is for.

b9bb723f12 1) Make Rockbox reject any WPSs if there are errors loading any of the required bmps; 2) Make checkwps actually load the images using the Rockbox bmp loader, and reject the WPS in the same was as Rockbox on bmp errors.

5ca1539969 the menu and list now accepts a parent viewport to draw in (and the menu can be told to not show status/button bars). This lays the groundwork to fix colour problems with plugin menus (see star.c for an example.) This hopefully fixes some button bar issues as well as theme problems.

af395f4db6 Do core interrupt masking in a less general fashion and save some instructions to decrease size and speed things up a little bit. Small fix to a few places where interrupts would get enabled again where they shouldn't have been (context switching calls when disabled).

40919d7db2 iAudio M3: Optimised LCD driver, with more/better assembly code. Speedup is ~80% when boosted, ~15% when unboosted. Also implemented grey phase blitting. * Adapted the greyscale library, and the plugins using it. * Fixed a bug in greyscale scroll down for vertically packed pixels.

7418c357c3 Make checkwps compile again. Still more work is needed though, as checkwps is compiled to emulate an iPod Color - this needs changing to allow the LCD (and remote LCD) dimensions/depth to be specified on the commandline - the new %V tags are validated against the LCD characteristics
