88270f7622 Resurrect the ARM7 16-bit packed vector addition/subtraction for ARMv5, giving a nice speedup for the higher compression levels (tested on Cowon D2).

5656f8245f Sansa Clip: build plugins (FS#9578) 
Use unmodified C200 keymap when possible, variation of it when not
Use Archos bitmaps when possible

Current problems:
- Pegbox plugin shows display corruption (corruption is different in the simulator)
- Bubbles plugin misses 1 or 2 bottom lines, but if we gain back these lines it occupies a too small area of the screen
- Splitted screen (yellow/blue) is a bit weird in most plugins

113c285045 On ARM9TDMI (e.g. Gigabeat F) it's faster to use a ldr/str pair than add+ldmia/stmia for 2 registers. On ARM7TDMI a str pair is equally fast, so go for the simpler macro and use it for all ARMv4.

6d34e33b94 Speed up the predictor a little by using ldrd/strd on ARMv5+. This required shuffling around the register allocation somewhat. Performance on ARMv4 is unaffected.

495115b84a Add hardware backlight fading on Gigabeat S with fade up and down options in LCD Settings. USE_BACKLIGHT_CUSTOM_FADING_BOOL is used to specify the setting type needed but leave the fading code itself implementation-defined.

d7e4e54bcb Reorder instructions to avoid pipeline stalls on ARMv6 wherever possible (sometimes using different registers to allow this). Speeds up the predictor by almost 20% on ARMv6 (overall speedup for -c1000 is 5%), and might also help a bit on ARMv5. ARMv4 speed is unaffected.

4c43f7be0a Rearrange the main synth loop a little and move some tests around for a ~5% speedup on c200, increase the output buffer size to make skips less likely, playback of simple midi files should now be mostly skip free on pp based players

3761c0108c Branch optimisation in both C (giving hints to gcc - verified using -fprofile-arcs and gcov) and asm files. Biggest effect on coldfire (-c1000: +8%, -c2000: +5%), but ARM also profits a bit (less than 1% on ARM7TDMI, around 1% on ARM1136).

4c3a19f1b4 Fix test_codec precision. The old version effectively rounded the decode time up to full seconds (because of the rb->sleep(HZ)), so speed results from before this revision were more or less too low and 'stepped', especially for fast codecs and short test tracks.

baf4b6102d Change the test_sampr plugin around to use a constant pitch + white noise which makes it more informative about the hardware state. Add a volume control for targets without a separate one.

5e4a6824bb $* doesn't work if the target doesn't use a wildcard. Furthermore the GNU make manual discourages its use. Using works, and automatically ensures the correct directory. zxbox.map and chessbox.map were put into the wrong dir (build dir) and overwrote each other.

c6b3d38a15 New makefile solution: A single invocation of 'make' to build the entire tree. Fully controlled dependencies give faster and more correct recompiles. 
Many #include lines adjusted to conform to the new standards.
