uses a different codepage and you are getting garbled extended characters
you should adjust this settings. In most cases sticking to
``ISO-8859-1'' would be sufficient.

\item[Touchscreen Settings.]
Options related to touchscreen behavior.
\begin{description}
\item[Touchscreen Mode.]
Rockbox supports two touchscreen modes. \setting{Absolute Point} behaves
like a normal touchscreen and allows you to select items by tapping on
them directly. \setting{3x3 Grid} divides the touchscreen into thirds to
emulate a grid of 9 buttons: eg. tapping on the center of the screen is
interpreted as a virtual ``center'' button.
\note{Some parts of the UI only support \setting{3x3 Grid} mode and will
fall back to it even if \setting{Absolute Point} mode is selected. In
particular, \setting{3x3 Grid} mode will be used in the WPS unless the
theme supports touch interaction; the default ``Cabbie v2.0'' theme
does not include touch support.}
\item[Line Padding In Lists.]
This option affects the amount of padding added to list entries, which
makes them larger on screen and easier to select with a touchscreen.
\setting{Auto} will calculate a reasonable amount of padding based on
the standard line height and the screen DPI. \setting{Off} disables the
feature and will not add any padding. Other values allow you to set the
number of pixels of padding to be added to the standard line height.
\item[Calibrate.]
Allows you to change the touchscreen calibration by touching on three
points on the screen to correct for any offset or rotation of the touch
overlay compared to the display. This calibration method is useful for
older devices that use a physically separate touch overlay panels, which
may be slightly mis-aligned to the display.
\item[Reset Calibration.]
Select this option to clear calibration data set by the
\setting{Calibrate} option.
